Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between pre-galvanised and hot dip galvanised posts?+
Pre-galvanised posts use coil galvanised to AS 1397 before forming — suitable for general fencing. Hot dip galvanised posts are coated to AS/NZS 4680 after fabrication, giving heavier coating thickness and longer service life in exposed and coastal environments. See our coating guide for details.
What coating mass do you supply?+
Hot dip galvanised posts are supplied to AS/NZS 4680 with coating mass appropriate to article thickness — typically 600 g/m² for fence post wall thicknesses. Coating reports are available on project orders.
Do you supply for rural exclusion fencing projects?+
Yes. Galvanised posts, strainers and stays are quoted mill direct on bulk project orders for cluster, exclusion and conservation fencing.
