Specification & Supply
Sleeper retaining walls are typically built with galvanised H-posts (fabricated from UB sections) at intermediate locations, and C-posts (fabricated from PFC sections) at wall ends, returns and corners. Final size and embedment must be set by the project engineer based on wall height, surcharge and soil type — the table below is a general trade reference. All posts hot-dip galvanised after fabrication to AS/NZS 4680, cut-to-length on request, subject to availability.
- 100UB used for typical walls up to ~900mm exposed height
- 150UB used for walls in the ~900–1500mm range
- 200UB used for taller / surcharged walls (engineer-designed)
- 75PFC / 100PFC C-posts at ends, corners and returns
- Embedment generally 1/3 to 1/2 of exposed wall height — engineer to confirm
- HDG after fabrication to AS/NZS 4680 for full corrosion protection
