Commercial fencing posts work harder than residential — wind loads, panel weight, anti-climb topping and gate frames all drive up section size. The table below is a trade reference for the common commercial range; engineered or high-security jobs (e.g. CPTED, asset-protection) should always be set by the project engineer.
- Standard commercial mesh / tubular fencing: 65×65 SHS
- Heavy commercial / anti-climb: 75×75 SHS
- High-security gates and asset-protection: 89×89 / 100×100 SHS
- Footings typically 450 × 450 × 750 mm concrete (engineer to confirm)
- Typical line-post spacing 2.4 m or 3.0 m
- All HDG to AS/NZS 4680 for long-life commercial assets
